Prologue

Ananya Singh had once believed in fairytales. In laughter that never faded, in love that never betrayed. But one cruel night shattered that illusion, leaving her with wounds too deep to see and walls too high to break.

She hid behind them, teaching herself to smile when the world demanded it, pretending she was whole when inside she was anything but. Trust became her greatest fear. Love, her greatest enemy. It was easier to shut her heart away than to risk watching it break again.

And yet, no matter how far she withdrew, one pair of eyes never left her.

Raghav Sharma had loved her for as long as he could remember. From the recklessness of youth to the quiet strength of manhood, his heart had belonged to Ananya. But he had learned early that love wasn’t always about possession. Sometimes it was about patience. About standing back when all you wanted was to reach forward. About guarding someone’s light even when they no longer believed it existed.

To Raghav, Ananya wasn’t fragile. She was fierce, brave, and far stronger than she realized. And if she needed to break before she could rise again, he would wait—for as long as it took—for her to find her way back to herself.

Now, for the first time in years, she was stepping toward him and searching not for comfort, but for strength. Not for promises, but for power. And he knew in his soul that this was where their story would begin.

Two souls scarred by the past.
One is terrified to trust again.
One who had never stopped loving.

Some hearts aren’t meant to be healed alone.
